About Andrew Schweitzer
Andrew Schweitzer creates comics and stories where high-concept ideas collide with grounded human stakes. His scripts weave pulp thrills, heartfelt humor, and a dynamic sense of style into stories that feel tailor-made for late-night readers.
Whether it’s two over-ambitious robbers raiding a warehouse, a woman who helps the dead truly rest in peace, or a real-life story about meeting Stan Lee, Andrew is interested in putting seemingly ordinary people in extraordinary situations. Each story is made in collaboration with one or more artists, featuring detailed outlines, open input, and finished works that keep readers turning the page for more.
Story-first craft
Andrew’s background in journalism helps create stories that grab a reader’s attention from the first page onwards.
Collaborative mindset
He works closely with artists, letterers and colorists, making sure that every member is delivering the best results they’re capable of.
Experimental streak
From fan-comics to stories relying completely on visuals, Andrew loves testing himself to find new ways to engage new readers.
Creative approach
Each comic starts with a script, which Andrew crafts. His scripts are detailed enough to give a prospective artist an idea of what kind of visuals he’s trying to create while at the same time giving the artist some leeway for their own creative spin.
He stresses the importance of communication between collaborators as well as fair and punctual payments. The goal is always a finished story that the entire team is proud to put their name on.
